Adium is a free instant messaging application for MacOS X that can connect to AIM, MSN, Jabber, Yahoo, and more.
Pros: Adium currently supports all known chat protocols. It is highly customizable and integrated with Apple’s web-kit. Both the developers and user community are very dedicated to Adium’s success and quickly respond to all bug reports.
Cons: None significant.
