Joen announced the launch of Deskvu earlier this morning. Deskvu is Joen’s new free wallpaper website. It’s already packed with several astounding wallpapers from Mr. Asmussen himself, and it looks like he will be accepting high-caliber wallpapers from other artists some time in the near future.

Rick was not pleased by .Mac’s iChat status icons, so he decided to create his own.

Having downloaded [the .Mac set] myself, I quickly found that its 9 icons didn’t really fit in with my lifestyle. For instance, I don’t go to the gym so much, and when I go OOTO (Out Of The Office) it rarely if ever requires the use of a plane as depicted on the icon. No, I needed my own set.

Rick’s witty iChat status icons are compatible with almost every text-based chat client, including (but not limited to) iChat and Adium.

Sarah Completes a Musical Portrayal of Christ

I am pleased to announce the completion of Sarah’s latest compositional project, Three Images of Christ’s Final Hours.

This is a fifteen minute collection of three individual pieces that, when performed as a set, depict the Garden of Gethsemane (including Christ’s prayer, arrest, and trial), the Crucifixion, and the Resurrection.

The completion of this collection has been one of Sarah’s life-long dreams and I am proud to say that the finished collection is truly a work of art which highlights both her acute attention to detail and imaginative use of instrumentation and melodic phrasing. The score is currently available for purchase, and CDs should be available sometime next year.

New MobileTracker Design

Jon has redesigned MobileTracker. No, he didn’t switch over to WordPress, but he did upgrade to MovableType v3, and the look and feel has been completely altered. Personally, I like it. It’s simple like its previous version, but has a flare that brings it up to code with a few of the “modern commercial” designs. The new design was crafted by Garrett Murray.

Sarah’s GarageBand Creation

Following my attempt at creating a GarageBand creation, Sarah (my better half) has finished hers. Vortex Warped is a four minute piece composed of several audio loops in a complicated and creative way.
